On the first Thursday of the month, Marshfield Area Purple Angels hosts the Purple Angels Memory Cafe, a social event where people with Alzheimer's disease and other types of dementia - and those who care about them - come together in a safe and engaging environment. Trained volunteers provide fun and interesting activities and there are opportunities to learn about resources in the community. Each Purple Angels Memory Cafe gathering includes music, food, educational speakers, arts and crafts, and a lot of fun!
Purple Angels Memory Cafe gatherings are always free and open to anyone looking for support or information about memory loss, Alzheimer’s disease, and other forms of dementia.
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services is encouraging cities across Wisconsin to become dementia friendly communities: A dementia-friendly community is a place where people living with dementia are supported to live a high quality of life with meaning, purpose and value. Dementia friendly communities offer opportunities for people with dementia to remain active, social members of the community. Memory cafes are just one example of how communities support people with dementia and those who care for them. Marshfield Area Purple Angels is proud to offer a monthly memory cafe and we are dedicated to leading the initiative to make Marshfield a dementia friendly community.

The Purple Angels Memory Café is always held on the first Thursday of the month:
